Now that’s what I call PBs 2011

During the recent Intermediate Level PBs course I found myself considering what the soundtrack to PBs could be?  I like to play music while setting up, packing away and during individual or group activities.  And on more than one occasion I’ve found myself listening to the words on some of the tracks and marvelling at how disempowering some lyrics are – after all,  if I needed someone to ‘make me feel like a natural woman’ how frustrating might that be!  So a group of PB-ers set ourselves the task of coming up with a playlist.  And so far here’s what we’ve got:

I Will Survive – Gloria Gaynor
My Favourite Things – Soundtrack to The Sound of Music
Feeling Good – Nina Simone
Ain’t No Mountain High Enough – Diana Ross
The Greatest Love Of All – George Benson
What A Wonderful World – Louis Armstrong
Don’t Give Up – Peter Gabriel/Kate Bush
More Than A Feeling – Boston
Something Inside so Strong – Labi Siffre
You’ve Got a Friend – James Taylor
I Feel The Earth Move – Carole King
Strange – The Feeling
Stop – Jamelia
Rise – Gabrielle

Please feel free to let me know if you’ve got any to add – perhaps we could also come up with the playlist for ‘Now that’s definitely not what I call PBs’.  I think that’s a whole lot easier.
